Period cramps can be awful and awkward. Not only
pain but also fatigue and interfere with your ability to move around and
perform at work. There are natural syrup for irregular periods and cramps but
if it isn't enough to help you ease the symptoms, you can do a lot with the
right diet choices.
But did you know there are some foods that can
cause the cramp even more? There are a lot of foods you normally eat don't help
with period cramps.
Below is the list of foods that make cramps
worse:
Canned foods
These are high in salt, which causes more
bloating and more cramping. In addition, they pretty much lack any
nutrients.
Beans
Normally healthy and rich in fibre and vitamins,
beans will upset your stomach during the period.
Candy
Packed with sugar artificial sugar this doesn't
help at all with period cramps. In fact, it can make it worse.
Fried foods
They are known to upset the stomach and interfere
with healthy digestion. While you're on period, stick to light boiled, steamed
and grilled foods.
Milk and other dairy products
Your body is particularly susceptible to
inflammation when you are on periods. The saturated fats inside the dairy
products can be inflammatory for your body, which will only worsen the
menstrual pains.
Fatty foods
This only induces cramping pains, which is why
you should stick to lean meats instead.
